Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Lincoln, NE is seeking a reliable Laundry Operator to join our industrial facility team. You will help manage merchandise through washing and drying cycles, ensure safety checks, accurate ticketing, and proper moisture levels.

This full-time shift runs 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Pay is $18 per hour. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and can work independently or with a team in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Check all machine safety devices before operating equipment and record safety form.
• Retrieve sling from storage and position it for loading into washer.
• Verify batch tickets to avoid mixing lots and batches.
• Load washer/dryer correctly, start programs, and monitor cycles.
• Record ticket information on the machine display and forms.
• Enter weight data from batch tickets into SOFTROL for washers.
• Unload washer and dryer, ensure proper moisture levels and temperatures.
• Move carts with slings, stage items for next steps, and close equipment after use.
• Identify damaged slings and remove from system.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment; perform other duties as assigned.
