Job summary

Providence Cristo Rey High School in Indianapolis seeks a reliable Dishwasher/Prep Staff to lead dishwashing flow, assist with food prep, support lunch service, and help close the kitchen. The role keeps our kitchen clean, safe, and ready for students and staff daily.

You will wash, sanitize, and store dishes; assist in basic prep; monitor workflow during lunch; and perform closing sanitation tasks. Experience in school cafeterias is preferred.

Qualifications

• Punctual and reliable with afternoon shift availability.
• Able to follow instructions and multitask in a busy kitchen.

• Able to stand long hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dishwashing or food-service experience preferred; high school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, dry, and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Monitor dishwashing workflow during lunch to keep items available.
• Assist with basic food preparation including washing, chopping, portioning.
• Set up, service, breakdown, and daily kitchen operations.
• Close cleaning and sanitation in kitchen, dish room, storage areas.
• Report equipment problems or safety concerns promptly.
