Job summary

Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day in Bethesda seeks a dynamic Floater Teacher to support ECE programs. You will work with our team to create a developmentally appropriate, nurturing learning environment that fosters social, emotional, physical and academic growth for children.

The Floater Teacher role requires flexibility as schedules may change and involves assisting Lead/Assistant Teachers, preparing activities, and maintaining clean, organized spaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working with children in an educational, recreational, or camp setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/AA in Education or related field preferred.
• Coursework in early childhood and/or school-age development and curriculum planning is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead and Assistant Teacher as needed.
• Prepare materials for classroom activities.
• Clean and organize after activities; help with lunch and snacks.
• Implement Wonders policies and curriculum in collaboration with the team.
• Participate in staff meetings and communicate with families.
• Support center operations and maintain a safe, welcoming classroom.
