Job summary

The Harker School in San Jose is seeking an Afternoon Enrichment Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a part-time role, typically 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 25 hours per week.

You will lead after-school activities, supervise staff, and help create a safe, inclusive environment for students during lunch and after-school programs through June 3, 2027. CPR/First Aid certification preferred; prior experience with children is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Current Certification in First Aid and CPR (or will attend provided by Harker).
• Prior experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create experiences and build community through after-school activities.
• Lead and support staff in planning engaging activities and events.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment for lunch and after-school programs.
• Support staff with activities that encourage growth, connection and fun.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Assist with supervision, dismissal procedures and campus safety.
• Participate in training focused on adolescent growth and engagement.
