Job summary

Cleary University is seeking a part-time Campus Dining & Event Services Assistant/Cashier to support Clancy’s Café and campus events. You’ll contribute to a warm, high-quality dining experience for students, staff, and guests, with afternoon shifts and the option to take summers off.

Responsibilities include setting up dining spaces, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with opening/closing duties, coordinating with kitchen staff, and following health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; two years of experience in food service operations preferred.
• Availability afternoons and early evenings, until 8pm.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and work in a moderately noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up the student dining room and event spaces, ensuring hospitality and service standards are met or exceeded.
• Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and maintained to high cleanliness standards throughout shifts.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including storing reusable goods, cleaning equipment, and organizing spaces.
• Act as a liaison with kitchen staff to maintain proper food service temperatures and replenish food items as needed during events.
• Adhere to health, safety, and university regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
