Job summary

The Goddard School of Fishers is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the afternoon program from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. You will assist lead teachers, maintain a safe, nurturing environment, and help ensure a smooth end to the school day. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience with children, strong communication, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education degree preferred.
• Previous experience with children in daycare or educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress.
• Supervise children during playtime and ensure their safety at all times.
• Help with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Encourage positive interactions among children and promote teamwork.
