Description

The Aftermarket Senior Designer is responsible for the 3D design and 2D detailing of new products and modifications of existing products. These products could include supercharger or turbocharger assemblies, along with individual components.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take sketches, written documentation and/or verbal direction to complete designs for new turbocharger and supercharger components and assemblies.
• Develop surfaces for castings and other molded components.
• Create 2D drawings using GD&T ISO GPS and ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Create layouts in CAD system with appropriate background data to facilitate efficient design work.
• Support existing production programs through the implementation of engineering change requests and troubleshooting problems in assembly.
• Create part numbers and descriptions based on IHI numbering system.
• Collaborate with the IHI team on feasibility discussions of new products.
• Support in the creation of technical graphics and illustrations for product pages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

Associate Degree in Industrial Design or similar.

Experience:

5+ Years automotive and product design experience.

Proficient in Catia, NX, SolidWorks, experience with Sage ERP a plus.

The pay range provided represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications, while maintaining fairness with internal pay structures.
