The Aftermarket Sales Engineer conducts in-depth pricing analysis to optimize profitability in aftermarket sales, oversees RFQ processes within a site, and collaborates on market trend analysis. Additionally, they’ll prospect new customers, support existing customers, and be a key part of driving aftermarket sales revenue.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pricing analysis on aftermarket products and provide strategic pricing recommendations to maximize profitability
  • Effectively manage and distribute duties among the team members
  • Oversee RFQ (Request for Quote) processes, ensuring thorough research on lead times
  • Follow up on submitted quotes to determine win/loss outcomes
  • Collaborate with the team to analyze and understand market trends affecting aftermarket sales
  • Assist in A/R follow-up activities related to aftermarket sales
  • Act as the lead for Salesforce administration within the Aftermarket Sales department
  • Review and analyze Salesforce reporting to identify aftermarket sales opportunities
  • Coordinate service activities with cross-functional team members to ensure seamless customer support
  • Oversee and manage warranty claims and Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) in a Business or a relevant field and 8-10 years of experience working in insides sales, preferably in the aftermarket sector
  • Technical understanding to effectively engage with technical aspects of aftermarket products
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial aspects of sales and pricing strategies
  • Experience with Salesforce administration and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically averaging 15%
  • Ability to lift parts and equipment on occasion- no more than 20 lbs.
