Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe, pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, playground, and designated areas during before- and after-school programs.
• Reflect professional conduct at all times and provide excellent customer service to children and parents.
• Follow sign-in/dismissal procedures for Before Care and After Care.
• Monitor students and observe who enters/leaves care areas.
• Assist students with homework and pass out snacks; supervise playground activities.

• Employment Hours are 2pm-6pm - The job is for all five days a week when school is in session.
• We can sometimes accommodate someone whose start time would be 3pm.
• Pay will be $16 per hour.
• Aftercare Worker Dress code - no skin tight clothing, no revealing clothing, no face piercings, no hoodies, no sandals/slides/crocs - must be in closed toe shoes.
• Opportunities for advancement to assistant director, director, substitute teacher (day time), front desk (day time).
• Documents: If hired, you will need your SS card and DL OR a passport. Yyou will need to pay for your own fingerprint screening in the few days after the interview - please do not apply if you would not be able to meet this expectation.
  

Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for assisting in maintenance of an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, on the playground and in other designated locations by helping and supervising students during authorized before or after school programs in accordance with CSUSA policy and established school procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position is one that is in the public eye and program assistants must always reflect a professional manner as well as provide excellent customer service.
• Candidates must be able to resolve conflicts with children and parents, possess the ability to be firm but friendly, and must be able to be courteous and professional when dealing with parents, children and other co-workers. Program assistant reports to the Director of the Before and After Care Program and to the school principal.
• Follows proper student sign in and dismissal procedures for Before Care.
• Follows proper student check in and dismissal procedures for After Care.
• Monitors students.
• Observes who enters and leaves child care area.
• Assists students with homework.
• Passes out snacks.
• Plays with students on playground.
• Tutors and assists students with homework.
• Resolves conflicts with children and parents.

MAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
