Job summary

Goddard Riverside Community Center in New York is seeking Program Aides to support Beacon Community Centers, working with youth and families in after-school and community programs.

The role covers data entry, attendance, escorting participants, enforcing rules, and coordinating with staff; shifts include afternoons and evenings, with occasional weekends, and a schedule through June 18, 2027. The hourly rate is $19.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work between 8am to 9pm, Monday-Friday; 9am to 5pm, Saturday; available for training sessions.
• Must have ability to work collaboratively.
• Must have a sense of humor and a passion for youth development.
• Have energy, motivation and skills needed to work independently.
• Comfortable engaging youth.
• Experience or interest in Education/Social Work a plus.
• Must be able to pass background checks including Fingerprint Screening.
• CPR/First Aid Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Office tasks: manage attendance, data entry, typing, copying, and records.
• Maintenance: light cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting.
• Support all areas of the After School Program.
• Escort participants to off-site activities.
• Enforce program rules and safety procedures.
• Foster a learning environment for children's growth.
• Attend staff training and meetings.
• Demonstrate professionalism and leadership.
• Other duties as assigned by Program Director and AVP.
