Job summary

CALEX SPORTS INC in the Bay Area is seeking part-time coaches to run after-school sessions for kids aged 5–10 at multiple elementary schools. Each class lasts about an hour, with potential for 30 minutes pre-care, and you will be provided with lesson plans and equipment.

The role requires reliable transportation, 19+ years old, and willingness to complete a TB test and Live Scan. Training/shadowing is offered before starting; Bay Area locations provide in-person work.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old
• Candidates must live locally and be available for in-person work
• Experience coaching or working with kids is preferred but not required
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo TB test and Live Scan background check before starting
• Must complete sending photo and short biography to upload on our website

Job Overview

Our programs are held at various elementary schools, Monday–Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. This is a part-time position where coaches typically teach one class per day (about one hour), with the possibility of an extra 30 minutes of pre-care. These sessions focus on creating a fun and energetic environment for younger and beginner-level children.

The pay ranges from $50–$65 per session, and all equipment is provided by us.

Work Type: Part-time (2–5 hours per week) Pay: $50–$65 per session

Responsibilities

• Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
• Manage class size (8–16 students) and maintain a positive environment.
• Attend a 2-day training or shadowing session before starting.
• Equipment (provided by the company). (Coach should have reliable transportation)
• Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents/school staff.
• Capture a few class photos for documentation.

Requirements:

• Must be 19+ years old upon application
• Candidates must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
• Experience in sports you are applying, coaching, or working with kids is preferred but not required
• Enjoys working with children in a positive and active setting
• Flexible, reliable, and punctual
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work
• Must complete sending photo and short biography to upload in our website and introduce your experience in sports.

Programs are offered at multiple schools across the Bay Area. Candidates must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
