Job summary

Calex-Sports-Inc seeks an enthusiastic After School Pickleball/Tennis Coach to work with Grades K-3 across the Bay Area. This in-person, part-time role involves teaching pickleball and tennis to elementary students, managing classes, and creating a positive, engaging learning environment. Classes run 1–1.5 hours, weekdays between 1 p.m.

and 5 p.m. Two or more days per week are possible, totaling 2–5 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old upon application submission.
• Previous teaching or playing experience in pickleball or tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
• Must have own car and valid driver’s license to use at work.
• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check and TB test before working.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Class Management: can manage a class size of 8–16 students ages 5–10 years old; teach using provided lesson plans.
• Training and Preparation: attend a two-day training/shadowing session; transport equipment and set up.
• Administrative Tasks: take attendance, sign in/out students; interact with parents and school staff; provide feedback.
• Documentation: capture photos each session showing kids in action.
