Job summary

Cornell University is seeking an Association Temporary Program – After-School Teen Mentor/Program Assistant to support the 4-H after-school program for grades K-8. You will promote and assist with 4‑H activities and research-based curricula, and engage youth in academic activities under supervision.

The role emphasizes teamwork, community outreach, and delivering education through innovative channels while maintaining a positive, safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote and assist in teaching 4‑H activities and curriculum.
• Engage participants to complete academic activities and improve learning skills.
• Monitor participants under supervision of Program Coordinator and Educator(s).
• Serve as a positive role model and support program delivery.
• Assist with monthly meetings and activities supplementary to regular programming.
• Use mass media, including social media, for delivering programs.
