Job summary

Kids 'R' Kids on Ronald Reagan Parkway is seeking an energetic and dependable After School Teacher to ensure the safety and well-being of children during after-school hours. You will supervise students, assist with homework, and lead engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development.

The role requires nurturing, organization, and a passion for working with children in a fun, structured environment with hours Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children (after-school programs, daycare, camps, or similar).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to manage a group of children in a structured setting.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, and active play.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
• Assist students with homework and academic support.
• Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities (games, arts & crafts, group play).
• Maintain a structured daily schedule for students.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
• Help with snack time and classroom organization/clean-up.
• Manage behavior using positive guidance techniques.
