Job summary

Life Academy in Roanoke, VA, is hiring enthusiastic Teachers for part-time or full-time roles across various age groups. The program emphasizes a Bible-based curriculum in a Christian daycare setting, with shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (after-school 2:00 pm–6:00 pm).

We seek self-starters who are punctual, patient, and deeply engaged with children, offering a nurturing environment and professional parent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, especially under 5.
• Ability to stay calm, patient, and positive.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Genuine love for children and desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Work Monday–Friday 7:00 am–6:00 pm (after school shift 2:00 pm–6:00 pm).
• Consistently work with a group of students with a set schedule and occasionally substitute as needed.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Create a positive and nurturing environment for the children in your care.
• Engage with parents professionally about their child’s progress.
