Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful criminal background check.
• Prior experience in a related position working with children.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED & first aid certification (certification provided if needed).
• Enthusiasm for working with children in grades Pre-K through 4.
• Creativity to plan engaging activities.
• Flexibility to adapt plans to EDP constraints.
• Classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and engage a group of students daily, ensuring emotional and physical safety.
• Collaborate with other teachers to plan activities and programs.
• Participate in meetings with the EDP Director and teachers to plan and discuss topics around EDP.
• Prepare for instruction daily, including spaces, materials, and communications with staff.
• Model positive behavior and respond to challenging student behaviors.
• Perform other duties as required.
