Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs seeks an Aide II/III/IV to provide instructional and classroom support under a teacher's supervision in a school setting. The position runs Monday through Thursday from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm for the 2026-2027 school year and is paid for actual days worked, with 1/7 daily rate of pay plus a benefits package worth about 35% of direct compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have held Aide classification or completed WVBE-approved training
• Must pass state prescribed exam per WV Code §18A-4-8e
• Criminal background check per WV Code §18-5-15c

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or small group instruction under supervision of a teacher
• Assist with escorting students to and from the bus
• Assist identified students in transit to and from the school and residence
• Assist with preparing snacks for students and maintaining a safe classroom environment
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and uphold ethical standards
