Position:
We are seeking experienced educators to join our seasonal STEAM instructor team at Snapology. All materials and lesson plans are provided to you for classes designed for children aged 3-14. We provide paid training and support to ensure your success in this role.

Programs and Timing:

1. Weekday after-school classes: 1 hour in length and occur between 2pm-4pm Monday - Friday
2. Weekday preschool classes: 1 hour in length and occur between 10am-11am Thursday
3. Field Trips and STEM Events: 1-3 hours in length and occur anytime

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities
2. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
3. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
4. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
5. Adequately prepare for each program by reading the curriculum, watching training videos, and participating in face-to-face training sessions
6. Handle inquiries from parents and partners regarding Snapology programs
7. Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs
8. Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required

Qualifications:

1. Ability to pass background check and obtain child safety clearances
2. 2 or more years of experience working with groups of children in a classroom or camp environment
3. Education degree or teaching experience preferred
4. Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis

Pay:

1. Competitive salary up to $1,200 per month
2. Non-teaching task bonuses
3. Performance-based raises
