The Instructor II role requires a bachelor’s degree (or 120 credits) and at least 2 years of educational experience. The position is part-time and located at Detroit-area schools, with afternoon hours varying by site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 120 credit hours from an accredited university/college.
• Preferred disciplines include Early Childhood Education, Elementary or Secondary Education and related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in an educational setting.
• Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Create lesson plans and implement instructional activities.
• Establish clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Identify and modify instructional resources for diverse learners.
• Maintain effective record-keeping procedures.
• Communicate with students, parents and professionals on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
• Model professional and ethical standards.
• Support student growth toward performance goals.
• Meet annual performance goals and targets.
