Job summary

Play-Well in Seattle seeks dynamic LEGO instructors to teach classes and camps that introduce STEM concepts while encouraging creativity and problem-solving. You will lead engaging sessions, ensure child safety, and maintain classroom order according to Play-Well procedures.

Flexible part-time schedule with afternoon school-year shifts and full-day or half-day summer camps; compensation includes time for teaching, setup, and travel, plus training and communication with Area Manager.

Qualifications

  • Teaching/instruction experience preferred.
  • Reliable transportation; secure location to store teaching materials.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs to store and transport materials; bending, stooping and crawling with children during class instruction.
  • Must pass all background checks as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead LEGO classes and camps, ensuring children are safe, engaged and having fun.
  • Communicate with parents and clients in a knowledgeable, respectful and tactful manner to address questions or concerns.
  • Adhere to all Play-Well and facility safety procedures and supervision/release of children.
  • Care, safekeeping, and upkeep of assigned LEGO teaching kit(s).
  • Responds quickly to communications from management and regularly updates Area Manager.

If so, then this may be your dream job!We are looking for smart, creative, dynamic instructors from all backgrounds to teach LEGO classes and camps where students are introduced to a range of STEM concepts while being given the tools to unlock their creativity and their problem-solving skills.Schedule:School Year: M-F afternoons, part-time, flexible, occasional weekend hoursSummer: M-F, half-day and full-day camps, typically between 9am and 4pm, plus setup/breakdownCompensation: Instructors are paid for all hours worked, including teaching, setup, round trip drive time, and training.
