Job summary

Black Rocket Productions LLC. is hiring an after-school technology teacher to lead students through project-based lessons in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design and more, in Elk Grove.

The role is part-time, after-school hours, with opportunities for growth and hands-on teaching experience. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 48 college units or NCLB-compliant equivalent, reliable transportation, and availability 2:00–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed 48 college units OR have taken and passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent.
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred.
• Reliable transportation throughout Elk Grove Unified School District with ability to transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment.
• Available after school hours (2:00–6:00 PM), Monday–Friday.
• Instructors must be at least 21 and have significant experience working with children ages 8–14.

Responsibilities

• Lead students through project-based technology lessons.
• Guide learners in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, and game design.
• Assist with classroom setup, materials preparation and equipment transport.
• Maintain a safe classroom and manage a 20:1 student ratio.

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals towork as Lead Instructors in our after school programs. Leadinstructors guide students through our world class, project basedlearning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding,Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design and more!

Full school year in 10 week sessions, with options to continueinto additional seasons

Get in-room teaching experience with excited students

No formal experience required, but teaching experience in somecapacity highly preferred
