Job summary

Discover After School, Inc. is seeking an After-School Troop Leader at Neptune Elementary School to create a safe, fun environment for elementary students. You will embody the mission and lead daily activities in an engaging after‑school setting.

Responsibilities include delivering the curriculum, collaborating with staff, and ensuring student safety while upholding program standards. Part-time hours and a starting wage of $15 per hour apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma.
• Satisfactory Criminal Background Screening & Drug Screening.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (Must be completed within 30 days of employment. Paid for by employee)

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to all students, families, co-workers, and school administration.
• Meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the children in their care.
• Work in a team environment; build and maintain healthy, cooperative relationships.
• Communicate positively and effectively with the Site Director.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures both organizationally and departmentally to ensure the safety of children, parents, and staff.
• Model positive behavior and educate children in a manner which contributes to mature and responsible behavior.
• Complete all Discover After School and governmentally required training in the required time frame.
• Implement the curriculum and schedule provided on a daily basis and provide feedback to such on a weekly basis.
