Job summary

Citizens of the World Charter School - Los Angeles is seeking Enrichment Elective Instructors to lead after-school sessions for TK–8 students in academics, recreation, and STEAM. You will plan 8–10 sessions of 1–1.5 hours, foster a safe learning environment, and support students' social-emotional growth while engaging families.

You will work with diverse communities, lead groups, and participate in staff meetings, with compensation ranging from $25 to $65 per hour and a background check required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Organized self-starter with good judgment and flexibility.
• Experience interacting with diverse communities.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Engage children in fun, interactive after-school electives in academics, recreation, and STEAM.
• Plan 8–10 sessions of 1–hour to 1.5–hour activities.
• Establish a safe, healthy learning environment and support social development.
• Lead groups of children and build rapport with staff, parents, and volunteers.
• Communicate respectfully with the CWC LA Community and arrive on time for shifts.
