Job summary
BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic After-School Sports Coaches to lead elementary students in Basketball, Soccer, and Flag Football in Prince George’s County. This part-time, after-school position runs Monday through Friday with 1.5-hour sessions and a provided curriculum.
Ideal candidates are pursuing majors in Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Management, or related fields, and enjoy mentoring children while building leadership skills. Equipment is provided.
Qualifications
- Experience playing or coaching basketball, soccer, or flag football is helpful but not required.
- Comfortable working with children in grades K–5.
- Reliable transportation to schools throughout Prince George’s County.
- Must pass Prince George’s County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting.
Responsibilities
- Coach elementary students in Basketball, Soccer, and Flag Football activities.
- Follow BBA’s structured curriculum and lesson plans.
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
- Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students.
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and participation.
- Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.
