Job summary

The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a full-time Before & After Care Site Director in Collierville, TN. You will plan and implement activities, lead daily lesson plans, supervise site staff, and ensure a safe, nurturing program aligned with YMCA policies and DHS standards.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, staff supervision, parent communication, and collaboration with school staff to foster positive growth in children. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in child development or related field.
• Must enroll in Tennessee TEAC/TECTA certificate within the first year of employment.
• Two years of college (30 hours) in business/management or related field plus two years’ group setting experience.
• Four-year degree and one year of full-time group-setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Model YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
• Oversee a before/after school site (20–99 students) and support seasonal camps.
• Maintain DHS licensing files and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Develop daily curriculum, weekly lesson plans, and staff guidance.
• Supervise staff schedules, training, and development of group leaders.
• Establish positive relationships with school staff and parents.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
