Job summary

A local educational institution in Omaha is seeking an Extended Care employee responsible for leading a quality before and after school program for children ages 3-13. The role involves overseeing children's care, assisting with activities, and maintaining a positive environment. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. The flexible hours are Monday to Friday from 2:30-5:30pm, with no weekend or holiday commitments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and organized.
• Willingness to follow St. Wenceslaus policies and DHHS licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leading a high quality before and after school program.
• Overseeing the care of children in preschool through 8th grade.
• Assisting the directors with activities.
• Supporting children during daily activities, transitions, and dismissal.

Skills

Knowledge of age appropriate practices for children ages 3-13

Ability to work collaboratively with directors and other staff

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy after school setting

Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills

Ability to maintain professionalism and positive relationships with students, families, and staff
