Job summary

The Girls’ Middle School in Palo Alto seeks a passionate middle school swim coach for the fall season (Aug 24–Oct 10, 2026). Expect two after‑school practices weekly, two hours per session, plus up to six games, with practice times 3:00–5:15 pm.

Must have CA driver's license, pass background checks, TB risk assessment, and CPR/First Aid certification. Besides teaching swimming, you’ll develop training plans, assist with tryouts, and supervise athletes until all are picked up.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching softball.
• Experience coaching youth.
• Prepare well-organized training plans.
• Available after school from 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm at least two weekdays per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tryouts and team configuration.
• Run two after-school practices per week.
• Create training plans.
• Attend all games (approximately once per week).
• Drive players from school to practice/game locations using school vans.
• Supervise team until all players are picked up from practice/games.
