Job summary

Groza Learning Center seeks experienced after‑school instructors to deliver a comprehensive Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program at elementary and middle school sites. You will engage students with hands‑on activities promoting self‑awareness, self‑management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision‑making, while integrating literacy and fostering inclusion.

  • Associate Degree or completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching a class of 20 students.
  • Reliable transportation— the ability to arrive at work on time.
  • Fun, upbeat personality with strong interpersonal skills and passion for teaching and learning.
  • Impeccable time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with students who learn differently, including those with ADD/ADHD, ASD/mild, and gifted learners (experience working with neurodiverse students is a plus).
  • Patience and empathy to support students facing various academic and personal challenges.
  • Respect for students' cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • CPR and First Aid Certificates.
  • Mandated Reporting Certificate.
  • Excellent references.
