Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers seeks an Inclusion Specialist to support neurodiverse students within its Expanded Learning programs. You will design and implement Ranger Success Pathways, observe staff and student interactions, and coach teams to ensure participation, safety, and belonging across sites.

Frequent site travel and participation in Camp Woodcraft trainings are part of the role; a commitment to inclusive practices and collaboration with families is essential for student success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months experience with children in school or recreation settings, or 6+ college units.
• Experience supporting students with intellectual/development disabilities.
• Understanding of inclusive practices and various disabilities.
• Valid FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance.
• Current TB Test clearance.
• First Aid & CPR certification (can be provided by Woodcraft Rangers).
• CPI Certification (can be provided by Woodcraft Rangers).

Responsibilities

• Design and coach site staff on Ranger Success Pathways (Plans) and assist in environmental adjustments and materials.
• Support student engagement in cognitive, motor, academic, and social activities.
• Monitor behavior and apply MTSS strategies.
• Collaborate with Site Coordinators and Club Leaders to foster inclusive practices.
• Ensure safe and appropriate use of mobility and orthopedic devices.
• Support students in transitions and participation during activities, field trips, events, and performances.
• Help students build self-esteem and social skills through positive guidance and modeling.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and family engagement efforts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
