Job summary

Fiddlehead School of Arts & Sciences in Maine is seeking energetic, positive people to be part-time instructors for our after-school program, with a hands-on STEAM focus for children aged 4 to 12.

Program runs Monday–Thursday 3:00–5:00 p.m. and Friday 12:30–5:00 p.m.; you may pick the days that work best. You will need to prep before and help with light cleanup at day's end. Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

This is a FUN and EXCITING part-time opportunity for the right person. If you have a flexible afternoon schedule and a passion for working with children, this is the perfect way to make some extra $$$!

Fiddlehead School of Arts & Sciences is seeking energetic, positive people to be a part-time instructor for our after-school program. This is a wonderful opportunity for any person who enjoys working with children. Our program is developed for children 4 to 12 with a focus towards hands-on STEAM learning and fun.

You don’t have to be an expert in ANY PARTICULAR field to work with our student, JUST curiosity & creativity! Previous experience teaching or working with children preferred.

Our program takes place from Monday – Thursday from 3:00-5:0 p.m. and Friday, 12:30 – 5:0 p.m. (You can pick and choose the day(s) that work best for you. You will need to arrive early for prepping, and there is also some cleanup time at the end of the day.

This is a part-time position**

• You MUST be available during afternoon hours
• Some teaching/instructing/tutoring experience is required
• Typically, our program runs from September to June – holiday breaks will be off.
