Job summary

Santa Clara Unified School District is seeking staff for after-school enrichment programs. The role involves assisting in developmentally appropriate curriculum, ensuring safe and healthy activities, and engaging with families and the school community.

You will work with a team to create enriching environments, communicate with parents, and supervise children aged 10–12. CPR/First Aid certification and health fitness are required; lifting up to 30 lbs may be needed.

Qualifications

• 12 or more college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Youth/Adolescent Development, or related field.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Must be in good health and able to lift 30 lbs and supervise children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum linked to children's needs and interests.
• Maintain safety and health through supervision and healthy habits.
• Create engaging environments connected to curriculum and learning experiences.
• Communicate regularly with parents to support and share in their child’s development.
• Collaborate with staff by demonstrating teamwork and flexibility; provide excellent service to families and the school community.
