Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry seeks a 21st CCLC Certified Teacher to provide high-quality academic enrichment within a school setting. You will collaborate with school staff, BGCLC personnel, students, and families to support student achievement and program goals.

You will design standards-aligned activities, provide tutoring and enrichment, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs, while tracking progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current teaching certification/license and bachelor's degree are required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Master’s degree or higher and subject-specific certificates are desired.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging academic enrichment activities aligned with standards.
  • Provide homework help, tutoring, and academic intervention as needed.
  • Develop hands-on learning in literacy, mathematics, STEM, and career readiness.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs.
  • Monitor participation and academic progress; incorporate project-based learning.
  • Support positive study habits and confidence as learners.
  • Maintain attendance records and document student outcomes and program data.
  • Participate in required assessments, surveys, and reporting activities.
  • Establish positive relationships and create an inclusive, safe learning environment.
