Lexington School District Two's Riverbank Elementary School is seeking a Part-Time Daycare Lead Teacher to supervise and engage Wood Elementary students after school. You will lead a small group, help design safe, engaging activities, and maintain open communication with families.

Follows the district calendar with 2:30–6:30 pm shifts and occasional early release days. A high school diploma or GED and strong verbal/written communication are required; experience with elementary students is

Qualification:

High School Diploma or GED. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Preferred experience in working with elementary age students.

Job Goal:

Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as a caregiver for the Wood Elementary students enrolled in the after school daycare program.

Performance Responsibilities:

(includes but is not limited to)

• Responsible for leading a small group of students.
• Helps to design lesson plans and activities that are engaging and safe.
• Maintain appropriate communication with parents.
• Is responsible for the care, safety, and well-being of all children in the group
• Serves as a model at all times for professionalism and representation of Wood Elementary
• Participates in assigned training (local, state)
• Performs other duties necessary to maintain a quality program for elementary aged children

Physical Requirements:

Mostly light work that involves walking, bending, sitting on the floor with children, or standing. May occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Term of Employment:

Follows Lexington School District Two's school calendar for student attendance. Staff will be present from 2:30-6:30 pm, in addition to scheduled early release days (11:30-6:30 pm).
