Job summary

Silver Knights Chess Academy is seeking instructors to teach chess to elementary school children after school in Eldersburg, Maryland. In this role, you'll manage a classroom, promote sportsmanship, and utilize our established curriculum to help kids learn chess.

We offer a starting pay of $55 per hour along with free chess.com membership and staff parties. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about chess and enjoy working with children.

Qualifications

• Experience as a camp counselor, tutor, teacher, coach, or in preschool or daycare is a plus.
• Can learn and use new software tools.
• Available part-time during after-school hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of 10–20 students.
• Use our curriculum to teach and communicate chess rules.
• Promote good sportsmanship among students.
