Job summary

The Retina Institute of Florida is seeking a compassionate, reliable after-school caregiver to support Shaun, a 35-year-old adult with autism, in Jupiter, Florida. The role focuses on a safe, structured environment and positive rapport built through routine.

You will pick up the client at 3:00 PM, provide supervision until 6:00 PM, assist with daily activities, encourage recreation, and report any concerns to the family. Valid driver's license and background check required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening.
• Dependable and punctual.
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up client from school/program in Jupiter at 3:00 PM.
• Provide supervision and companionship until 6:00 PM.
• Assist with simple daily activities and routines.
• Encourage participation in recreational activities.
• Ensure safety and well-being at all times.
• Communicate any concerns or behavioral changes to family/caregivers.
