Job summary

JULIA GREEN EXTENDED CARE INCORPORA in Nashville is seeking an experienced Daycare Teacher to supervise school-aged children after school, fostering intellectual, social, and physical growth. You will be nurturing, patient, and creative, helping children learn and reach their potential.

The role includes afternoon shifts 2:30–5:45 PM, collaboration with the site director, snack prep, leading activities, supervising, and documenting incidents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider.
• Strong understanding of child development.
• Patient, kind, and nurturing.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• First aid/CPR certified.
• Willingness to comply with background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Being present from 2:30 – 5:45 PM on school days and possibly staying later if closing.
• Work with site director and other teachers to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Prepare and serve snack and clean up afterward.
• Lead activities with students (games, crafts, clubs) and provide active oversight.
• Greeting parents as needed and documenting incidents involving students.
• Cleaning and sanitizing toys, carts, floors, and other items.
• Additional duties as assigned.
