Job summary

St. Martha Catholic School in Kingwood, Texas, is seeking responsible, energetic and nurturing individuals to join our before school program team as assistants. The role requires supervising children during play, rest and homework, planning daily activities, and providing academic help to PK–8th grade students.

The position is part-time, hourly, with school-year schedule (August–May) and training days. Work hours are Monday through Friday, roughly 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Mature, responsible, energetic and nurturing disposition.
• Commensurate experience in child care/education will be considered.
• Criminal background check clearance required.
• Be trained and verified in Safe Haven child abuse awareness program.
• Committed to the philosophy of Catholic school and value oriented education.
• Special talents in physical education, art, music, or education are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during play, rest and homework.
• Plan and implement daily activities.
• Prepare and serve snacks.
• Provide academic assistance to students in PK–8th grade.
