Job summary

Atrius Health, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to support the Peds Telecom team remotely in Massachusetts. The 20 hours weekly schedule includes weekend and holiday rotation.

You will deliver patient care, perform telephone triage, administer medications per RN protocol, document in the EMR, and support care coordination. An MA RN license, BLS, and EMR experience are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• Computer experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
• EMR experience or aptitude to learn the EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic and supportive relationships with patients and families.
• Deliver patient care and follow RN protocols, including medication administration and chronic disease management.
• Conduct telephone triage and support the clinical team with care coordination.
• Perform clinical procedures and manage acute conditions during patient visits with timely EMR documentation.
• Contribute to quality improvement and mentor nursing staff.

As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for effective care delivery and management of patient care within a specialty, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to current standards of nursing practice. Communicates and coordinates effectively with all entities involved in the care of the patient to promote safe, high quality care. Making decisions reflecting critical thinking and evidence based nursing practice.

Position Details:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build therapeutic and supportive relationships with patients and families, providing education and managing care transitions
• Deliver patient care and follow-up in alignment with RN protocols, including medication administration and chronic disease management
• Conduct telephone triage, elevate concerns appropriately, and support the clinical team with ongoing care coordination
• Perform clinical procedures and manage acute conditions during patient visits, ensuring timely documentation in the EMR
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, mentor nursing staff, and uphold high standards of patient service and safety

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a State-approved school of nursing
• Current, unrestricted, license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Computer experience required with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs
• Electronic medical record (EMR) experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR based on other technology experience
• Demonstrated solid critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and patient interviewing skills
• Proven ability to interpret clinical information, assess the implication of treatment and develop and implement a plan of care
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple demands
• Demonstrates excellence in practice, documentation, and cost-effective care utilization. Maintains high patient satisfaction
• Up to date with current standard of nursing care in Specialty

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 2+ years of RN experience
• Pediatric experience

The hourly pay for this role will range from $38.66 to $71.87 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
