Qualifications

• Five years of paid social service experience and 30/45 credits in a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree with 30 credits and one year paid experience, or Master’s with practicum.
• One year of experience as Social Service Specialist 1.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergent requests and after-hours calls.
• Document timeframes and paperwork in the FAMLINK database.
• Gather information to assess danger and take protective action if needed.
• Conduct 24‑hour and 72‑hour face-to-face contacts for investigations.
• Observe living conditions and document client environment.
• Follow policy for photographing a child’s condition or environment.
• Coordinate Protective Custody inquiries with law enforcement when needed.
