Job summary

HOKALI is seeking a dedicated after-school group leader in Georgia to supervise and engage a group of up to 20 students from TK through 8th grade. You will create a safe, structured, and energetic environment after school, following provided lesson plans with support from an on-site Site Coordinator.

Responsibilities include running games, helping with homework, maintaining attendance records, and using positive reinforcement to manage behavior.

Qualifications

• 6 months hands-on experience leading groups of children.
• Experience leading games and activities for groups of children.
• Experience keeping attendance records for groups of children.
• Willingness to complete required training before starting, including Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR, and Concussion Awareness.
• Fluent in English; eligible to work in the United States.
• Available every weekday afternoon for the full school year.

HOKALI helps schools book, organize, and manage after-school programs and camps. We partner with school communities to create structured, engaging environments for students after the school day ends, with a focus on consistency, safety, and high‑quality program delivery.

In this role, you will help create a positive after‑school experience for students and families by leading a group with energy, care, and clear structure. This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, can keep a group engaged, and brings a calm, steady presence to the day‑to‑day flow of an after‑care program.

Requirements

What makes someone a great fit

We're looking for someone with proven, hands‑on experience running a group of children, not just being around kids. You should already know how to get a group of children to listen, keep them engaged, and maintain a safe, structured environment.

Must‑haves

• At least 6 months of hands‑on experience independently leading groups of children, including being solely responsible for the group, keeping children safe, and managing behavior without another adult stepping in.
• Experience leading games and activities for groups of children.
• Experience keeping attendance records for groups of children.
• Willingness to complete required training before starting, including Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR, and Concussion Awareness.
• Fluent in English.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Available every weekday afternoon for the full school year.

Preferred

• Experience supporting homework for school‑age children.
• Experience supervising snack time and outdoor play for groups of children.
• Experience with middle school students (grades 6-8).
• Experience working with both younger children and middle school students.
• Experience handling conflicts between children calmly.Experience documenting incidents involving children, including injuries, conflicts, or parent communication.
• Fluency in Spanish.
