Zusammenfassung

HOKALI, Inc. is seeking an energetic after-school group leader to guide a group of up to 20 students from TK through 8th grade. You will create a positive, safe, and structured environment after school, following the company’s lesson plans and partnering with an on-site Site Coordinator.

The role requires hands-on experience with children, the ability to keep groups engaged, and a calm presence. English fluency, the ability to work every weekday afternoon, and completion of required training

Qualifikationen

• At least 6 months hands-on experience leading groups of children.
• Proven ability to run games and activities safely.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Available every weekday afternoon for the full school year.
• Willingness to complete required training (Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR, Concussion Awareness).

HOKALI helps schools book, organize, and manage after‑school programs and camps. We partner with school communities to create structured, engaging environments for students after the school day ends, with a focus on consistency, safety, and high‑quality program delivery.

In this role, you will help create a positive after‑school experience for students and families by leading a group with energy, care, and clear structure. This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, can keep a group engaged, and brings a calm, steady presence to the day‑to‑day flow of an after‑care program.

• Lead and supervise a group of up to approximately 20 students from TK through 8th grade after school.

Requirements

What makes someone a great fit

We’re looking for someone with proven, hands‑on experience running a group of children, not just being around kids. You should already know how to get a group of children to listen, keep them engaged, and maintain a safe, structured environment.

Must‑haves

• At least 6 months of hands‑on experience independently leading groups of children, including being solely responsible for the group, keeping children safe, and managing behavior without another adult stepping in.
• Experience leading games and activities for groups of children.
• Experience keeping attendance records for groups of children.
• Willingness to complete required training before starting, including Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR, and Concussion Awareness.
• Fluent in English.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Available every weekday afternoon for the full school year.

Preferred

• Experience supporting homework for school‑age children.
• Experience supervising snack time and outdoor play for groups of children.
• Experience with middle school students (grades 6-8).
• Experience working with both younger children and middle school students.
• Experience handling conflicts between children calmly.
• Experience documenting incidents involving children, including injuries, conflicts, or parent communication.
• Fluency in Spanish.
