Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) in Chicago seeks a Community Manager to oversee all aspects of property operations and on-site team performance under the guidance of the Regional Director of Property Management.

This role focuses on budget adherence, regulatory compliance, and delivering a high-quality resident living environment. Responsibilities include budgeting, rent collection oversight, risk management, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 5+ years in progressive property management or related supervisory roles.
• COS, LIHTC, ARM, CPMC designations are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage operating budgets, billing processes, and accounting functions including invoicing and expense tracking.
• Oversee property curb appeal, annual apartment inspections, market-ready units, safety, and preventive maintenance.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and manage communications and service requests.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate site team members.
• Attend trainings, seminars, and conferences; be available for emergencies, on-call duties, and weekends.
