Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include repairs to flooring, drywall, appliances, plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems, HVAC, painting, and cleaning. All tasks must adhere to company policies and safety protocols, supporting client expectations within the operating budget.

Responsibilities
  1. Client Relations: Ensure property operations align with owner philosophies and client expectations.
  2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance and safety programs, ensure grounds are aesthetically maintained, and assist with inspections and emergency services.
  3. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant apartments, coordinate painting, appliance replacement, and ensure timely turnovers.
  4. Equipment & Systems Maintenance: Maintain community equipment, keep maintenance areas organized, secure parts and tools, and wear appropriate uniforms and carry necessary tools.
  5. Inspections: Prepare properties for NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, CALFHA inspections, and collaborate with stakeholders.
  6. Other Duties: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, maintain professional appearance and communication, and adhere to dress codes.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in residential property management, hotel, facilities maintenance, or construction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and be medically cleared for duty.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • May need to provide personal tools.
