Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences to teach Integrated Biology and Earth Science (SCI 2600) and/or Integrated Physical and Chemical Sciences (SCI 2610).

Affiliate faculty are hired per credit hour for specific classes, usually semester-by-semester; initial appointment is on campus and teaching could be online or in person depending on the assignment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and/or Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students, preparing course materials and lesson plans, grading student work, providing students with robust feedback in a timely manner, addressing student questions consistent with university policies, and providing online or in person academic support as needed.
