Job summary

Rocket Lab seeks an Aerospace Technician Trainer II/III to lead hands-on training for aerospace manufacturing, assembly and repair at the Space Structures Complex in Middle River, MD. You will ensure technicians meet safety, quality and regulatory standards while partnering with engineering, quality and production teams.

The role supports onboarding, recurrent and cross-training of composite technicians, and may be hired as II or III depending on experience; a high school diploma and 2+ to 5+

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2+ years of training experience.
• Must be certified or able to become certified in composites.
• Intermediate math skills.
• Experience mentoring technicians on industry standards and processes.
• Ability to apply tools to achieve complex composite assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs for aerospace processes.
• Train personnel on aerospace materials and adhesives.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards in training.
• Create and maintain work instructions and training docs.
• Evaluate technician proficiency via assessments and observations.
• Support onboarding and cross-training of composite technicians.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and manufacturing to drive improvements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and incorporate lessons learned.
• Promote safety, quality and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
