Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a hands-on test technician to follow blueprints and perform functional testing on aircraft components. You will troubleshoot at the component level, operate test equipment, and document results while adhering to safety and quality standards.

This onsite role requires reading schematics, using multimeters/oscilloscopes, and collaborating across teams to support audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Onsite shift from 2:30pm–11pm is typical.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
• Experience with component-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with reading schematics/blueprints.
• Experience with using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and/or spectrum analyzer.

Responsibilities

• Follows blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to ensure products meet specifications.
• Performs functional testing and records results; troubleshoots to the component level.
• Monitors test completion, maintains test equipment, and documents outcomes.
• Operates hand tools, machine tools, and test equipment safely.
• Loads and unloads electronic units in test beds per quality standards.
• Uses SAP and computer systems to follow work instructions and schedules.
• Participates in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Collaborates across departments and supports audits.
