Job summary

Varda is hiring a Supply Chain Engineer to ensure seamless integration of engineering and manufacturing capabilities with our supplier network. You will align suppliers with design specs, perform hands-on process evaluations, and lead strategic initiatives to improve supplier performance.

Expect close collaboration with engineering and production teams through the development lifecycle. You will assess manufacturing capabilities, interpret drawings, and drive improvements that support Varda's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3-6+ years in supplier quality engineering, preferably aerospace/high-performance engineering.
• Fluent with fluid systems or machined components/structures supply experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, DMAIC, 8D).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Willingness to travel 25-50%.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier quality framework and programs.
• Evaluate suppliers for propulsion systems or mechanical hardware.
• Support DFx input and supplier selection during development lifecycle.
• Conduct supplier audits and assess capabilities and QC processes.
• Define robust supplier quality requirements with specs and acceptance criteria.
• Build supplier relationships to drive continuous quality improvements.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues via root cause analyses.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments for supplier considerations.
• Stay updated on aerospace industry standards and regulations.
