The role involves fabricating composite components, inspecting dimensions with micrometers and calipers, and working on aerospace structures and bonding processes. The position requires experience in aircraft or composites, the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, and flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of relatable aircraft experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specs, manuals.
• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends.
• Physical ability to lift over 25 pounds and perform strenuous work.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate composite components and tools, including lamination, vacuum bagging, bonding.
• Perform part-fitting operations such as filing, drilling, and reaming.
• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modify assemblies to incorporate engineering changes.
• Monitor quality using statistical process controls.
• Troubleshoot issues with engineers and technicians.
• Operate autoclave and curing ovens for bonding cycles.
• Follow PPE requirements on the shop floor.
• Propose continuous improvement in production methods and equipment.
