Job summary

Griffon Aerospace, Madison, AL, seeks a Structural Integration Technician to perform precision drilling, adhesive bonding, fastener installation, and trimming on composite, plywood, and metallic airframe structures. You will work with Customer, Manufacturing, Engineering, Flight Test and UAS Flight Operations Staff in a fast-paced maker culture.

Requires high school graduate, ability to lift 35 lbs, read drawings, and follow instructions; experience with aerospace composites and bonding

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• General use of hand tools and measurement devices as listed.
• Read and follow engineering drawings and detailed work instructions.
• Perform precision drilling, countersinking, and hole prep to drawing tolerances.
• Prepare surfaces for structural bonding and apply adhesive bonds.
• Install structural fasteners to torque and spacing specifications.
• Trim composite and plywood parts to net dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Drill, bond, fasten, and trim on composite, plywood, and metallic airframe structures.
• Follow engineering drawings and work instructions precisely.
• Interface with Customer, Manufacturing, Engineering, Flight Test and UAS Flight Operations Staff.
