Job summary

The Boeing Company seeks Structural Design Engineers (Associate Level 2 and Experienced Level 3) to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team in Oklahoma City, OK. You will work on modifications and upgrades for B-1 Bombers, developing and documenting structural and interior payload systems throughout the lifecycle.

Onsite work is required. Candidates must be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance. Relocation is possible based on eligibility. Salary ranges reflect Associate and Experienced levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical and/or structural design.
• 2+ years of experience creating, executing, reviewing, and managing structural design models.
• 2+ years of experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables.
• 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• 2+ years of experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX).

Responsibilities

• Level 2: Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
• Level 2: Produce and modify designs using 3-D CAD tools to provide product definition to engineering, production, suppliers and customers.
• Level 2: Conduct tests to validate that systems meet requirements.
• Level 2: Support supplier development, testing and production activities.
• Level 2: Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future products.
• Level 2: Document processes and procedures for design and manufacture.
